Crackling fun!

Hi again, just a quick post today as I am sooooooo busy at the moment making birthday cards, keeping up with my gym schedule and to top it all of Ive decided to gain my adult qualifications in Maths and English which I'm lacking so currently studying them online as well, phew, well recently we had a male family member turn 60, so here is the card I made for them.

Ive used grunge paper (which I totally love) with embossing powder and for the first time I have used Tim Holtz Crackle Paints by Ranger on the number 60, These paints are fantastic and I just love the crackle effect, it works very similar to the crackle nail varnish that was recently popular :)

And there you have it for today:)

Be back soon!

Masking fun!

Hi again, today I am going to share with you my first attempt using Tim Holtz mini masks, I say first attempt but this was actually about the fourth due to me not being able to keep the white bits of the card white :)

I used my scalloped oval punch to create a mask to tie in with the Oval challenge over at Less is More,
Its been quite a while since I have entered any challenges but I do hope to find time to do more in the future. I used Tim Holtz distress inks in spiced marmalade and vintage photo and blended the colours using his blending tool along with the mini masks, I love these colours together, it reminds me of Autumn which we are fast approaching, well thats it for now, hope you like my challenge entry :)

Princess castle!

Hi, Im back again as promised for a quick post today, a few weeks ago I was thinking of ideas for my nieces birthday card and I decided that I wanted to do a princess castle, well after spending quite a considerable amount of time searching the internet for a die that I could use in my big shot, I almost gave up.

That was until I came across a fantastic template by Dennen, I wish that I could tell you that this was a really easy project, but it wasnt, it did take up to 2 days and many hours to complete my princess castle card, but i think that the end result was worth it! here are the photos!

Im back from a small break with an all new blog!

Hi everyone, its good to be back in blog land after a few months break, a break from blogging that is, not crafting :) As you may be able to tell this is an all new blog design, so whats with the new design  you ask ? well as you can see I am no longer a Stampin' Up demo, reason being was that I have only been crafting for one year and when I signed up as a hobby demo I was still finding out what style of crafting suited me, well it turns out I like lots of different products by different brands, I will still be using a lot of Stampin Up products as they are fantastic quality and some of the designs of their products do suit my taste, but I will also be mixing other brands within my crafting especially Tim Holtz, so if you would like to order products from Stampin Up, just let me know and I can give you details of a fantastic demo who you can order from ;)

Right time to post a project I think :) recently it was a good friends 30th birthday, so out came my crafting supplies to make a card, here was the end result:

I decided to try a new product on this card which was Stickles by Ranger (the shiny glittery glue on the number 30 ) it gives a lovely glittery effect and is a perfect finishing touch for that special card, I have also used mocha morning papers by Stampin' Up, now these papers are gorgeous and are one of my favorites, but I was sad to here that these papers are actually now being retired, so if you want to get your hands on them, now is your last chance. Here is a view of the inside of the card:

I hope you like my first project on my new design blog and I promise I will be blogging at least once a week from now on, In fact see me back here tomorrow to view a lovely card that is fit for a princess:)
